Community Service Templetes Community Service?

Community service? - community service templetes

I listened to the radio debate today on the community service is not an appropriate punishment for certain crimes. Certainly one of the main reasons for the western world is in the dining room of this unpleasant fact is that views community service as punishment all!

Do this not good for our communities that we all day and not as a punishment. If we keep clean our streets, visit our own elderly parents, associations for our own children to support? If it is perceived as a punishment for anyone, how on earth can we expect people who do it by choice?

I used to be very active in a bridge club / Mencap. I remember on the Commission to really snobby about taking someone in CS. He stayed for 7 years and was secretary of the regional community was 4 weeks, I do not know what in hours.

This does not mean that we skimp on the cleaning of the streets and do so by the chain gangs. If we have more pride in our communities and the responsibility to ourselves, and then likely to see community service as a way to see how they can still not working, but people today tend to be too young to make minor for non-payment, not good for the community.

This is an excellent question. Psychologically speaking, we should choose less likely to CS, since it is given as a punishment, but it is actually more popular than ever.

So psychologically, it is not the question of whether a punishment is abhorrent and repugnant. It is whether to change the behavior that led to. No change in behavior, not punishment - is the definition.

Yes, we do good for us. But many people like me who prefer the house of another with friends as a good measure to clean themselves clean. I think as the camaraderie and the sense of altruism. If you are doing for us, not exactly the same. BTW, many of us things that our parents and our childrenI would not for us alone.

In a sense you are right, is seen as a punishment. But in reality it is to give a chance to return to the community.

Perhaps people should encourage and reward those who already works so well on a regular basis.

When you talk about the crimes after their sentences should be called something else ........ we call it probation and required to work, they need to be approved, much worse than serving in a charity shop, not a punishment. Try to clean up dog shit in the park or something as degrading, and do what you know to wear a uniform for the general public why they have it.
If you do not commit the time, not crimes.

To be sure, is a double-edged sword. A volunteer is not obliged to all the volunteers and probably more trouble than its worth. I know that I love volunteering for the fact that it works the same ideals. "The punishment is far from my ideals.

At the same time more than one person ended up in court because they had not had the opportunity to develop into healthy ideals. Who could do better than the volunteers who give them this opportunity? Wonderful stories like that happen to us Couplesn. It's worth the gamble.
